Former tennis star caught speeding twice on the same stretch of road in Roehampton

Boris Becker had his driving licence removed on Wednesday (24th July) having collected over 12 points. The 51 year old former Wimbledon Tennis Champion was caught driving over 40mph in a 30mph zone twice on the same stretch on the A306 in Roehampton in four month period last year.

The Magistrates Court on Lavender Hill heard that on 24th March 2018 he had been doing 43 mph on a 30mph stretch of the A306 Roehampton Lane, on March 24 last year and then on July 1st he was caught driving at 41mph on the same stretch.

Mr Becker did not attend but pleaded guilty to both offences, which resulted in eight points being added to his licence, which took the total held over 12 and an instant ban.
