Daniela Raczkowska was due to return to Poland

An 83-year-old woman who died after being hit by a lorry on the Brompton Road in Knightsbridge has been named as 83-year-old Daniela Raczkowska.

Mrs Raczkowska, died after the collision which took place shortly before 5.55pm on Thursday, 18 January. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

She had been visiting her daughter in Putney since before Christmas and had been due to return home to Poland in February.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and was not arrested.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.
