PizzaExpress is celebrating the launch of its exciting new-look restaurant at Putney by offering five fabulous prizes of a meal for two to the value of £40. ![]() Mary Shelley
This two-storey restaurant at 144 Upper Richmond Road, Putney, boasts two fantastic al fresco areas to the front and the rear. And the room on the first floor makes an ideal setting for private dining or parties. PizzaExpress has celebrated art and design since its first restaurant opened in 1965. And each restaurant tells a local story, celebrating the architecture, people or history associated with the area. In Putney’s case, the interior features artwork tributes to local authors E.M Forster, Leonard Woolf, Mary Shelley and Laurie Lee.
It also coincides with the relaunch of PizzaExpress’ School Visits programme, which has been running since the late 90s. Primary school children can visit the Putney restaurant, discovering new flavours, building their confidence in the kitchen and, of course, how to make a pizza using fresh ingredients. More information is available at pizzaexpress.com/schoolvisits.
