What's on when and where in SW15 March 2005
|
How
events get featured on this site
|
We
will list all events in our calendar for free.
If you know of an event that isn't listed let us know by sending
details to editor@putneysw15.com
For coverage on the home page of this site and our weekly newsletter
which goes to over 1400 local people send us full details of your
event.
First priority goes to events which are paying to be listed. Any
community based non-profit events will receive prominent coverage
subject to the availability of space.
Commercial events can get free coverage but during busy times
of the year there is often no available space.
Generally events from outside the area are not listed unless there
is a significant connection with Chiswick.
If you are paying to promote your events in other local media
don't expect a significant amount of free coverage on this site.
Costs for event promotion start at £30.
If an event at your favourite venue or club doesn't appear on
our site just tell the organisers to get in touch with us and
it will be added .

Public
Meeting for views on the GP extended hours scheme in Wandsworth South.
Lecture Theatre
Queen Mary's Hospital
Roehampton
SW15 5PN
The scheme was established as a pilot project in 2001 and gives patients
in Balham, Tooting and Wandsworth increased access to GP appointments.
The PCT reviewed the scheme in 2004 and decided it was not the best use
of limited resources. The scheme was deemed not cost effective and inequitable,
as it benefits only a relatively small section of the PCT population.
Under the direction of the Local Authority Health Overview and Scrutiny
Committee, the PCT is consulting before making a decision on the scheme.
The consultation runs from 14 February to 14 May 2005 and the responses
will be discussed during a public meeting of the Wandsworth PCT board
in July.
