Ref: Proposed development of land previously occupied by the Garden Centre

Planning permission for the build and design of ten flats, on the land previously occupied by the garden centre, has been submitted to the Council for a second time.

The proposed design and materials are completely incongruent with the Victorian architecture of Dryburgh Road and fail to preserve or enhance this unique Conservation Area.

We urge the Council to insist on a design more in keeping with the historic beauty of the local area, and that this be a key condition in their decision to accept or reject any final application.
